Wrangler Drops First Collab Collection With Country Star Lainey Wilson

On Wednesday, Kontoor Brands -owned label Wrangler unveiled its latest collection created in partnership with Grammy Award-winning country music star Lainey Willson. The two first joined forces last fall when the 2024 CMA nominee starred in Wrangler’s fall campaign.

The collection, featuring 40 women’s pieces and 10 children’s pieces, pays tribute to country music’s rich heritage by blending vintage aesthetics with modern feminine silhouettes.

“This collection offers a powerful blend of contemporary style and classic Western influences,” said Vivian Rivetti, VP of design at Wrangler . “We worked hand-in-hand with Lainey on every element of this collection, from the curve-hugging silhouettes to the luxurious embellishments, Lainey’s iconic style and the strength she brings to the stage is reflected in each piece.”

Notable pieces include Wilson’s signature bell-bottom jeans, enhanced with statement patchwork, bold stripes and flock embellishments. Trucker jackets and flare jeans are crafted from printed “storyteller” denim, showcasing illustrations inspired by Wilson’s life—from her childhood on a Louisiana farm to her guitar and beloved French bulldog.

The collection also features Wilson’s family farm name and the number nine—the age she wrote her first song—on tees. Track titles appear in prints while her “Thank ya friend!” phrase is embroidered on sweatshirts.

“Like the lyrics of my songs, these clothes tell my story, with a little bit of grit and a little bit of grace,” Wilson said. “I think my fans will instantly recognize my personality woven throughout the collection. It’s such a special way to be connected to the people who bring me joy and strength. And when girls and women step into these Wranglers , I want them to feel powerful, like they can do anything they set their minds to. Wrangler has always been a part of my life’s story, and I want my fans who wear these clothes to find their story within mine.”

To celebrate the collection, Wrangler hosted a party during New York Fashion Week . The event featured an exclusive Q&A with the “Hang Tight Honey” singer, who shared insights into the process of creating the collection and collaborating with Wrangler.

“When Wrangler reached out to me, it was a no-brainer for me. I mean, my parents had me in Wranglers before I could walk…it just makes me feel at home,” Wilson said during the event. “I feel like I’m trying to hold onto the things that feel like me, and Wrangler feels like me.”
