Madewell teamed with famed Japanese mill Kaihara for a second collaboration.

The women’s collection is inspired by the mill’s 130 years of denim expertise, incorporating artfully faded washes and heritage details with versatile silhouettes.

The collection includes an update to Madewell’s bestselling overalls . The Oversized Carpenter Overalls have a relaxed fit and workwear details like knee patches, cuffable raw hems, a hammer loop and slanted front pockets.

The Rail Straight jean has elongated relaxed straight legs and Madewell’s smoothing Magic Pockets in front. The Super Wide Leg jean is a ’90s-inspired wide-leg style with cuffed hems. The Low-Slung Baggy jean is a full-length jean worn low with wide legs and raw hems.

The line retails for $188-$288 and is now available.

    Madewell x Kaihara Denim

Madewell unveiled its first collection with Kaihara in February. The four-piece range included classic workwear staples like a chore jacket and button-down shirt.

At the time of the launch, Mary Pierson, Madewell SVP of denim design, described the denim community’s love affair with Kaihara.

“We’re drawn to their attention to heritage and quality, evident in every step from yarn spinning, to dying, weaving and fabric construction. They have such a strong sense of heritage but are also very relevant to modern fashion, which resonates deeply with us at Madewell,” she said.
