    Shuffle Board: Nike Names NA VP, Modern Meadow Promotes CEO

    Nordstrom

    Luxury department store chain Nordstrom ’s head of diversity, equity and inclusion, Colleen Mitchell, has left the company. Per a LinkedIn post that Mitchell shared, she will be starting her own coaching and consulting practice geared toward executives, corporations and personal growth. Nordstrom confirmed that the role is currently being filled in the interim by “HR leader” Carlos Rios, and the retailer is actively searching to backfill Mitchell’s role.

    Boohoo

    Online fashion group Boohoo announced that John Lyttle has informed the board of his intention to step down as CEO but will stay on to support until a successor is named. The news comes as the group considers splitting off or selling one or more of its brands, which includes Debenhams and Karen Miller.

    Frasers Group

    UK-based retailer Frasers Group announced that its managing director of sport, Ger Wright, is leaving the company next month, as reported by Retail Gazette. The ex-Nike executive joined Frasers in 2022 and will remain on the board as a non-executive director upon her departure on Nov. 30.

    LPP

    Poland’s largest fashion retailer LPP ’s vice president of its management board, Przemyslaw Lutkiewicz, has resigned due to health reasons. As a result, CEO Marek Piechocki announced that he intends to propose Marcin Bójko, LPP’s current financial director, to the shareholders as a candidate to be appointed to the board in the role of vice-president and chief financial officer of the company.

    Nike

    Athletic giant Nike announced that Tom Peddie will become vice president, general manager of the North America geography, succeeding Scott Uzzell, who has decided to leave the brand. In this role, Peddie will lead all aspects of Nike’s North American geography, including direct, sales, marketing, digital consumer construct and territories, among others. He recently returned to Nike as vice president of marketplace partners after a 30-year Nike career spanning global sales before becoming the general manager of emerging markets and then leading the North American geography.

    Levi Strauss & Co.

    Denim purveyor Levi Strauss announced its board of directors has elected Daniel Geballe to serve as a board member, effective April 26, when current member David Friedman is set to retire upon reaching the mandatory retirement age. Geballe currently serves as a managing director at SJF Ventures, leading investments in early-stage companies, creating social and environmental impacts. Geballe also serves as Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Levi Strauss Foundation, where he chairs the finance committee.

    Kering

    Luxury group Kering announced Tenley Zinke has joined Kering Americas as vice president of corporate communications and community engagement. She succeeds Kate Babb Shone, who has left the company after serving in the role since June 2022, Sourcing Journal’s sister publication WWD reported. In this new role, Zinke will report to Laurent Claquin, global chief brand officer of Kering, and Ewa M. Abrams, president of Kering Americas.

    Alberta Ferretti

    Italian luxury group Aeffe announced that Lorenzo Serafini has been named creative director of Alberta Ferretti . Serafini, who joined the Aeffe Group in 2014 as creative director of the Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini brand, succeeds the fashion house’s founder, Alberta Ferretti, who announced her retirement from the runway last month. Serafini will make his debut on the catwalk with the Ferretti brand next February.

    David Williamson

    Materials science company Modern Meadow announced that David Williamson will transition from president and chief operating officer to chief executive officer. He has served in multiple roles with the company since 2015 and will now spearhead its next growth phase. As CEO, Williamson will continue executing the company’s strategic growth plan to create sustainable biofabricated materials.

    Danimer Scientific

    Next-generation biotechnology company Danimer Scientific announced that Richard Altice, a current Danimer director and former president and chief executive officer of NatureWorks, has been named interim CEO. Altice succeeds Stephen Croskrey, who previously announced his intention to retire after eight-plus years as CEO. In addition to his ongoing role as a director, Croskrey has agreed to serve as a special advisor until the end of the year to further support this transition. Richard Hendrix will continue to lead the board as chairman.

    Edward McCabe

    Diebold Nixdorf , a provider of connected commerce solutions for the retail and banking industries, has appointed Edward McCabe as the new head of retail sales for North America. Arvin Jawa, who previously led Diebold Nixdorf’s retail Americas sales team, will now fully focus on his key role in leading the company’s global retail strategy and marketing. McCabe will expand the company’s current market position in North America. McCabe has over 35 years of sales and sales management experience, most recently as executive vice president of Sales at Spencer Technologies, focusing on delivering end-to-end solutions for retailers.

    Eliska Hill

    Wheels Up company Air Partner announced the appointment of Eliska Hill as senior vice president of cargo for the UK and the rest of the world. In this role, Hill will oversee day-to-day operations and strategic growth of the company’s cargo division for all markets globally. Bringing over 25 years of aviation experience, Hill previously held senior positions at Chapman Freeborn in the UK and UAE, along with other cargo carriers and brokers, including Emirates and Air Charter International.
