    South Beloit’s Ross Robertson picks Northern Michigan University

    SOUTH BELOIT, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — One of the Stateline’s premier high school basketball players will be taking his skills to Northern Michigan once his high school career is complete. South Beloit’s Ross Robertson has indicated on his ‘X’ account that he has committed to Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan.

    Robertson is a 6’8 center who will be a senior this coming school year at South Beloit. Last season he was named to the Class 1A All-State First Team. Robertson averaged 26.1 points, 14.2 rebounds, 2.4 blocked shots and 1.6 steals per game. He shot 67.8% from the field. He also showed shooting range by knocking down 39% of his three-point attempts.

    Robertson is already the leading scorer in South Beloit history with 2,082 points.

    Northern Michigan is an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Last season the Wildcats had a 22-11 record overall. They were 14-4 in the GLIAC.
