SOUTH BEND — The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival will bring back favorite performances of “ShakeScenes” on July 20 at the University of Notre Dame’s DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and “Shakespeare After Hours” on July 26 at LangLab.

“ShakeScenes,” which starts at 2 p.m. July 20, is a free but ticketed event with "Shakespearean shenanigans,” according to organizers. Students in grades K-12 from local schools perform scenes from and inspired by William Shakespeare. It has been running since 2002.

    Reserve free tickets at shakespeare.nd.edu.

“Shakespeare After Hours,” by contrast, is an adults-only production of “boozy, bawdy entertainment” that highlights Shakespeare's outrageous side, performed by local artists and Notre Dame students.

Performances are at 7 and 9 p.m. July 26 at LangLab, 1302 High St., South Bend. Tickets, at $15 each, can be reserved at shakespeare.nd.edu.
