SOUTH BEND, Ind. — You may recognize the name, but this story has a different twist.

Robin Hood, 59, of South Bend, will spend a year in prison for stealing from her employer. Hood didn’t live up to her namesake and give to the poor – instead, Hood stole nearly $550,000 from her old job from 2016 to 2021 and kept it all for herself.

Hood was eventually caught and arrested. She pled guilty to wire fraud and was sentenced to one year in prison.

Robin Hood will also spend a year on probation after she’s released from prison and will have to pay back the stolen $550,000 to her former employer.
