    VOTE: YMCA's South Bend Tribune Week 9 High School Football Player of the Week

    It is now time to vote for the South Bend Tribune Week 9 High School Football Player of the Week, presented by the YMCA of Greater Michiana!

    Seven athletes are nominated below for their efforts from Oct. 18, 2024. Voting will remain open until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 . You may vote as many times as you want throughout the duration of the poll. You can find the link to the poll by SCROLLING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.

    Here are the nominees, in alphabetical order by school.

    Bremen senior Silas Laidig

    Laidig led the Lions offense by going 13-for-21 passing for 204 yards and two touchdowns. He also had an interception on defense as the Lions beat Tippecanoe Valley, 24-10.

    Brandywine senior Carter Sobecki

    Sobecki rushed for 273 yards and three touchdowns as part of a 46-30 win over Lansing Eastern, A second-straight victory for the Bobcats.

    Buchanan sophomore Brody Reed

    Reed made an impact on both sides of the ball during a 35-18 win over Dowagiac. He had six catches for 71 yards and a touchdown on offense, then added a pick-six on defense in the first half that gave the Bucks a 16-point lead at the time.

    Concord junior Reese Brevard

    Brevard set the tone from the opening snap against Plymouth, rushing for a 70-yard touchdown. He added two catches for 40 yards and a receiving touchdown as well in a 42-14 win for the Minutemen.

    Jimtown senior Ty Zartman

    It was another big rushing night for Zartman, who had 219 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in a 44-34 win against Lakeland.

    LaVille junior Cole Stafford

    Stafford had maybe the game's biggest play, intercepting a Whiting pass in the red zone when the game was still close in the second quarter. The Lancers blew it open from there, in part to Stafford's four rushing touchdowns in the 56-20 victory.

    New Prairie junior Reed Robinson

    Robinson only attempted nine passes, but he completed six of them for 154 yards and four touchdowns as the Cougars cruised to a 52-8 win over South Bend Washington.
