Rutgers football finishes midway through Big Ten Media Poll
With the first game of Rutgers football's 2024 season set to kick off in 38 days, the Big Ten preseason media poll has been officially released this morning by Cleveland.com. Rutgers was picked to finish No. 9 out of 18 teams in the conference, with a total of 249 votes and an average ranking of 9.56 in the poll.

CHATHAM, NJ -- Chatham Township Committee member Mark Lois released the results of the survey put to residents on the "Colony Pool Wall Construction and Other Structural Changes" on Tuesday afternoon, revealing that 66.1% of respondents preferred the design that is closest to the existing pool wall. EDISON - The school district is reviewing allegations that an Edison High School assistant principal threatened retaliation against members of the school's Muslim Students Association (MSA) after they requested to host a joint Ramadan Iftar, a fast breaking evening meal, with students from area schools earlier this year. Brad Moening, the longtime cross-country coach for Highland Park High School, will be inducted into the Minnesota Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame during a coaches clinic on August 5 at the Grand Event Center in Northfield. Moening has coached boys’ and girls’ cross-country at Highland for 22 years. During that time, the Scots have won nine Saint Paul City Conference titles and made four team appearances at state, taking third in both 2019 and 2021. The Highland girls have won 15 conference titles, including the last 12 in a row, and have made four trips to state, including finishing first in 2021 and 2022, and second in 2023. Moening also has won numerous awards as coach of Highland’s Nordic ski teams. He plans to continue coaching cross-country this fall, but is turning over the reins of the school’s Nordic ski program to former Highland student Will Robertson.

ROSELLE PARK, NJ — The borough grew a little brighter recently, as Union County Connects, a 501(c)(3) charity that advocates for safer trail networks in Union County, unveiled a brand-new mural featuring a historical rendition of the Rahway Valley Railroad Engines. Painted on the Son-Rise Document Solutions building at the outskirts of the borough, the mural welcomes travelers into Roselle Park. The mural was created by a Jersey City-based street artist, known as "Distort", who has composed many murals throughout New Jersey.
