Harvey Elliott and Mohamed Salah have left a huge impact on Liverpool fans in the United States, after waiting around to sign shirts for those who traveled to the team hotel in South Carolina.

Liverpool stayed at the Hilton Columbia Center ahead of facing Manchester United on its preseason tour of the U.S. and fans gathered to get a sight of the players. A fan posted a picture of Elliott signing a Liverpool shirt onto Reddit and wrote: "Massive shout out to Harvey and Mo who stayed behind and made sure to sign for everyone who wanted one. Absolute kings."

Salah is one of the biggest names in world soccer, and Elliott is a rising star at Liverpool who is quickly becoming a fan favorite. Despite a busy preseason schedule, the pair earned major respect for ensuring they greeted every fan who made the effort in South Carolina.

One Reddit user claimed in a reply to the post: "Mo has been mentoring Harvey since he first started training with the first team. Makes sense since Harvey was primarily subbing in for (Jordan) Henderson on the right side of midfield and feeding Mo, or covering his position when he cut inside.

"Harvey’s mentioned it often in past years. I recall with some of Harvey’s earlier appearances, goals, and assists, Mo looked happier than he did."

Salah has established himself as a Liverpool legend, helping the team win every major title since signing for the Reds in 2017. Two years later Elliott was signed from Fulham as a 16-year-old and has become a crucial part of the squad.

Elliott was an elite prospect when climbing the ranks at Fulham, and Liverpool swooped in to sign the youngster. Elliott is a boyhood Liverpool fan but revealed he'd received interest from Real Madrid before signing for the Reds, but followed his heart once his dream offer came in.

"I was close to going to Madrid and then I think Liverpool came in," Elliot said. "And as soon as I heard they had come in, that was it. My heart was set on it, just because of being a Liverpool fan, all the family.

"It was my dad’s dream to play for Liverpool himself, but he didn’t quite make it in that way. My little brother as well is a massive Liverpool supporter, probably one of the biggest I’ve ever seen in my life, he’s always coming to me with information that I didn’t even know.

"Something that also played a big part was my brother and sister, moving them around, it is a new culture and different language and they were at such a young age as well. Settling in for me wasn't the problem, it was just about my family and I just wanted them to be happy as much as anything."
