    MacCorkle Avenue reopened after vehicle fire in South Charleston

    UPDATE: (1:11 P.M. Tuesday, July 2) – Kanawha County 911 dispatchers say all lanes of MacCorkle Avenue SW in the 5200-5300 block are now open after a vehicle fire in South Charleston.


    SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – A portion of MacCorkle Avenue is shut down in South Charleston due to a vehicle fire.

    According to Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers, the fire broke out around 12:03 p.m. Tuesday beneath a vehicle in the 5300 block of MacCorkle Ave. Southwest.

    Dispatchers say no one is injured and the South Charleston Fire Department has extinguished the fire.

    The eastbound lane of MacCorkle Ave. Southwest is currently closed due to the fire.
