KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A man sentenced in connection to a bank robbery back in November 2023 will now spend the next several months in a youth offender program in Greenbrier County, according to his lawyer, Joseph H. Spano Jr.

According to a criminal complaint, Logan Hall, 24, of South Charleston, went to a bank on D Street on Nov. 29, 2023, around 4:53 p.m. and gave the bank teller a note demanding money. The teller gave Hall $6,000, according to bank records.

When he was arrested, Hall confessed that he was the man who robbed the bank, the criminal complaint said.

Hall was originally sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison for the robbery. On Tuesday, the defense asked the court to reconsider that sentence and instead have him complete a nine-to-15-month Youthful Offender Program at the Anthony Correctional Center. Judge Maryclaire Akers granted that request, according to Spano.

After completing the program, he will be on probation for a maximum of 20 years; if he fails, he will have to serve his original sentence, according to his lawyer.
