WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals bring back ‘Thomas Tuesdays’ hiring events

KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – “Thomas Tuesdays” are back at WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals.

On the third Tuesday of every month, the Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston will be hosting open interviews for all positions, including jobs in critical care, pediatrics and surgery. Tuesday, July 23, marked the return of the interview events.

“We have a lot of openings, not just nursing,” said Shelly Howell, a recruiter for Thomas Memorial Hospital. “We have – it’s like a small city here – we have housekeeping, we have dietary, we need registration. We have patient care, tech positions open. And, we can train you, so if you want to do a CNA role, but don’t have the experience, we can come in and give you the training. We put you right on the floor. It’s a really good place to start if you don’t know what you want to do in healthcare, but you want to see what we do in healthcare.”

Officials with Thomas Hospitals say interviewing on Thomas Tuesdays is open to the public and registration is not required.
