40th Patriot Parade brings 100+ entries under cool clear skies
Thousands of people lined Main St. in Hutchinson on Thursday morning for the 40th Patriot Parade. Over 100 entries moved from Avenue B to 12th Ave. as Hutchinson Police officers manned closed intersections and two motorcycle officers weaved around the entries along the route. Eagle Media, the parade’s sponsor and organizer, provided patriotic music and announced each entry as they moved north along Main St. in front of the company’s building and viewing area at 825 N Main St.

Nothing says Fourth of July more than an abundance of American Flags being displayed throughout the community. Wednesday afternoon the Baxter Springs Kiwanis Club members were busy planting the flags in advance of the July 4 holiday.
