Newsom is expected to attend an event in South Haven, according to an event page created by the Van Buren County Democratic Party.
First lady Biden in West Michigan Wednesday “We are excited to have Governor Newsom in Michigan campaigning on behalf of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris as we work to once again defeat Donald Trump,” Ed Duggan, Biden-Harris state director for Michigan, said in a statement. “Trump wrecked our economy as president and he’s promising to raise costs on our families and ban abortion nationwide if he’s re-elected, including in Michigan. As President, Joe Biden has always looked out for Michigan, creating good-paying jobs, lowering costs and fighting for our freedoms, and we’re looking forward to mobilizing voters across West Michigan to send him back to the White House.”
Poll shows Trump with 4-point lead over Biden in Michigan First lady Jill Biden was also in West Michigan on Wednesday , while North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum visited the area in June to campaign for former President Donald Trump.
