SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — Despite the clouds above in our area during the Fourth of July, beachgoers flocked to South Haven to make the most of their time off.

The beaches really got crowded in the afternoon and remained packed in anticipation of firework shows once the sun sets.

A green flag warning meant calm waters on Lake Michigan for those brave enough to deal with the cooler water temperatures. Beach games like football and Spikeball were also popular choices for beachgoers.
