Poll: McKee's favorability drops among Rhode Island voters
(The Center Square) — Democratic Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee's ratings are continuing to drop, according to a new poll, which found voters overwhelmingly think the state is headed in the wrong direction. The poll, released Thursday by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, found only 29% approve of McKee's performance as governor, while 65% disapprove. Those numbers are largely unchanged from a similar poll conducted by UNH in May, according to the center. ...

4 kids taken to RI hospital after eating CBD gummies at YMCA summer camp
Four children were taken to the hospital after they ate CBD gummies at a YMCA summer camp in Coventry, Rhode Island, last week. First responders were called to Camp Westwood YMCA on Thursday morning for four campers who were vomiting, NBC10 Boston affiliate WJAR reports. The children, ages 12 to 15 years old, were taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital.

"Community Table," By Portsmouth High School Students
Abigail Link, a Rhode Island College student teacher at Portsmouth High School, led her ceramics students in a project where they were asked to create their own ceramic figure representing their connection to the food system while reflecting on how their community interacts with this system. Inspired by a community engagement course where she had the opportunity to work with Rhode Island Food Policy Council and tour the Pell School Garden, Abigail was eager to bring her students into meaningful conversations about what is needed to build an equitable and resilient local food system. RIDOH recommends closing Foster campground swimming area
