Events in Tahoe This Weekend March 22nd-24th

The weather might not be great for sunny California spring skiing conditions this weekend, but there’s a plethora of events to get you into the spring skiing mode in Tahoe this weekend.

Friday March 22

• Ski with a Forest Ranger at Alpine Meadows and Heavenly
• Get a tour around either of these mountains for free with a forest ranger
• Apres Ski Party at the Alpine Union
• Grab a few drinks at the famous Golden Nugget in South Lake Tahoe after a day on the hill
• Style on Snow Ski Jam at Woodward Tahoe Boreal Mountain
• Looking for steezy and styley park rats for a good old fashioned park jam

Saturday March 23

• Live Music at Palisades Tahoe
• Jeff Jones will be performing in the Palisades Village
• The Vertical Drop at Kirkwood
• Sign up here to ski as many vertical laps in as you can to support the Wildland Firefighter Foundation
• 200 Foot Banana Split Extravaganza at Tahoe Donner
• One of the must-attend events of the weekend
• Children devour a 200 foot banana split

• Pain Mcshlonkey at Palisades Tahoe
• A classic Tahoe event that you don’t want to miss to celebrate a Palisade’s legend Shane McConkey
• Time to bust out those snow blades and silly ski fits in honor of Saucer Boy
• Gunbarrel 25 at Heavenly
• Lap the famous, bumped-out Gunbarrel as many times as you can till your legs collapse
• Subaru Winterfest at Sierra at Tahoe (Saturday and Sunday)
• A cross-country festival with a full lineup of music, food, and drinks

Sunday March 24

• Mothership Classic at Palisades
• Another classic Palisades event where contestants hot lap KT-22 as many times as they can in retro ski gear, kits, and snow blades

• Luggi Foeger SkiMo Race at Diamond Peak
• Race uphill with skins, snowshoes, or boots and race to the bottom
• Will be a fun day with uphill gear demos and a beer garden
