Horses seized from local riding center get new homes
More than 20 horses have new homes after an investigation Thursday at a local riding and training center determined the animals were malnourished and in “poor” condition. The Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the U.S. Equine Rescue League, seized 23 horses from the Skyward Pines Equestrian Center at 2940 W. Main Street Extended on Friday.
