Wakefern Food Corp. is ramping up hiring efforts at several of its supermarket banners across the Northeast.

As part of a hiring fair set to run July 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., job seekers can visit most participating ShopRite , Price Rite Marketplace , The Fresh Grocer , Gourmet Garage or Fairway Market stores for an on-the-spot interview.

In a July 9 press release announcing the event, the Keasbey-based retailer-owned grocery cooperative said full-time, part-time and management positions are available, depending on location.

Openings which include jobs in general, perishable, front end and stocking offer flexible hours and entertainment as well as tuition discounts, according to Wakefern. The company also provides a variety of cross training to equip employees with the skills needed to work as a team throughout the store.

Interested candidates can get more information about the job fair and career opportunities by checking with their local stores.

A spokesperson for Wakefern did not specify how many jobs the co-op’s member companies are trying to fill.
