    South Sioux City residents to vote on reallocating sales tax for fire department

    SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU) — A special election will take place in South Sioux City next week.

    Residents there will consider reallocating 25 percent of the sales tax from roads and infrastructure to help fund the fire department.

    SD Gov. Noem provides update of how state is assisting North Sioux City

    If passed, the city says the change would allow for one more firefighter to work each day without raising the sales tax rate.

    The election takes place next Tuesday. Polls open at 8 in the morning.
