United Way of Siouxland honors supporting businesses

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU) — The United Way of Siouxland honored top business supporters at their annual leadership awards luncheon at the South Sioux City Marriott on Wednesday.

The awards were based on several factors, including increase in overall giving to the annual campaign and employee appreciation, as well as special events held by businesses during their fundraising drive. The 2024 Major Sized Business of the Year award went to Great West Casualty.

“It shows with what Great West has, there’s a lot of passion in the building, there’s a lot of people who care, who really want to make an impact,” Brady Hughes with Great West Casualty said. “I think the impact is going to be huge with what we were able to bring in.”

The United Way of Siouxland holds this ceremony each year to acknowledge all of these businesses for the significant contributions they make to better their community.
