John Deere Confirms More Layoffs, Cuts in Salaried Workforce
John Deere has confirmed it plans to layoff more workers through cuts in its global salaried workforce according to Corridor Business Journal. Deere didn’t release details on the number of salaried employees affected. The most recent round of cuts follow more than 600 previously announced layoffs of Deere’s production workers at three facilities in Illinois and Iowa. The company didn’t say when the additional salaried workforce positions would be eliminated.

Person dies from fall at Starved Rock State Park: Illinois DNR
One person died from a fall on Saturday at Illinois Canyon inside Starved Rock State Park in LaSalle County, authorities said. WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) - The search for a missing 31-year-old man sent hikers and paddlers home early on Saturday afternoon at Rock Cut State Park. Illinois Conservation Police, within the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, (ICP) Sergeant Audrey Hoftender says the active investigation began in the early hours of July 27.
