Vivid for Men, a Black-owned barbershop, occupies a second-floor space above the cobbles of Philadelphia’s Germantown Avenue, where Black and white residents have been living together since the days of the Underground Railroad. On a recent evening, a dozen Black men gathered there, over hoagies from Wawa, to talk about politics. On the wall, a painting cast famous figures including Barack Obama and Martin Luther King, Jr., on horseback, with their wives smiling in the saddle behind them.

Eagles training camp game ball: Nolan Smith shines as a pass-rusher
During Monday morning's training camp practice, the Eagles' defense got the best of the offense.
