MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis Athletics is inviting the 901 to come celebrate what makes the city special as they prepare to kickoff the Tigers' football season with "901 Week" from August 26-31. Man Critically Injured in Highway Shooting Linked to Memphis Hookah Bar Altercation
A violent altercation on a Memphis highway left one man critically wounded, a victim of a shooting that is said to have started outside a local hookah bar. Action News 5 reports that the Memphis Police Department responded to the scene near the intersection of I-240 and Sam Cooper Boulevard around 8:00 p.m., where they found the injured man.
Stolen Lexus Crashes During Police Chase in Memphis, Four Hospitalized
Four individuals were injured in Parkway Village when a stolen Lexus, in an attempt to elude police officers, crashed into a Lincoln Town Car at the intersection of Thousand Oaks and American Way yesterday afternoon, according to Memphis Police Department statements. WREG reports that while the Lincoln's driver was not seriously injured, two of the Lexus's occupants were listed in critical condition after being taken to the hospital, with a third suffering non-critical injuries.
