A 28-year-old Prince George’s County man wanted in connection with a double stabbing that occurred in St. Mary’s County during the early morning hours of Aug. 3 was apprehended in Calvert County, according to investigators.

Terek Demaury Ross, who court records show also maintains a residence in Lexington Park, allegedly stabbed and seriously wounded two adult females at a home on Ronald Drive.

According to a St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office press release, Ross allegedly “had broken into their residence and used a knife from the home” to stab both women multiple times.

One of the wounded women fled the house and went to a nearby residence, where she called 911.

“Ross subsequently stole a car belonging to one of the victims and fled the scene,” the sheriff’s office reported.

Neighboring jurisdictions were alerted about the incident and the defendant’s flight. Deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Ross, who was driving the stolen vehicle on Route 4.

Both women were taken to an area hospital where they were listed in stable condition. The sheriff’s office has not released their names.

Ross is charged with two counts each of attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault, plus one count each of felony theft and taking a motor vehicle.

Ross is being held without bond with another review scheduled for Monday afternoon in district court.

A district court hearing on the charges Ross is facing is scheduled for Sept. 3.

Deputy Devin Absher of the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation.
