    US COAST GUARD RESCUE TWO AFTER BOAT CAPSIZEDUpon arrival on scene, the MLB 47213 pulled 2 people from the water. A third Individual was then located on the North Jetty. An Aircrew from North Bend hoisted that individual. All 3 involved persons have been accounted for. Ultimately, one life was lost. The vessel was last seen drifting upside down, on the north side of the channel.At the time that this rescue was underway, Station Umpqua received a separate report of a vessel that lost power. The vessel was pushed through surf conditions on the North side of the jetty, before grounding onto the North Beach. All persons onboard that vessel were accounted for and had no injuries. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded on the beach to assist. We were assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s office, Lower Umpqua Hospital EMS, Winchester Bay Fire Department, Reedsport Police Department, Sector Columbia River and Air Station North Bend.
