Three new providers joining FirstHealth OB/GYN, Southern Pines Women’s Health Center

PINEHURST — FirstHealth OB/GYN and Southern Pines Women’s Health Center are pleased to announce the addition of three new providers who will care for patients in Moore and Lee counties.
Board certified provider Julia Malis, M.D., FACOG, joins SPWHC after previously serving as an OB/GYN physician in Tennessee. She completed her OB/GYN residency at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and earned her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Malis will serve patients at the Southern Pines Women’s Health Center clinic locations in Moore County (145 Applecross Drive and 5 FirstVillage Drive).
Also joining the team in Moore County (5 FirstVillage Drive) is Lillian Schnitzer, DNP, FNP-C. Schnitzer joins SPWHC after caring for patients most recently at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Molly Crossman, MSN, WHNP-BC, will join other providers caring for patients in Lee County at FirstHealth OB/GYN (2919 Beechtree Drive, Suite 2100, Sanford).
Crossman earned her Master of Science from Emory University and has also joined FirstHealth after caring for patients at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic.
John Byron, M.D., of Southern Pines Women’s Health Center, said the new arrivals reflect FirstHealth and SPWHC’s commitment to expanding women’s care options in the area.
“We are thrilled to welcome new providers to our care team, ensuring that we can maintain plentiful access to comprehensive women’s care in the Sandhills and beyond,” Dr. Byron said.
FirstHealth OB/GYN and Southern Pines Women’s Health Center now serve patients at two locations in Moore County at 145 Applecross Drive in Southern Pines and 5 FirstVillage Drive in Pinehurst.
They also have clinics in Richmond County at 110 Medical Circle Drive in Rockingham, in Hoke County at 113 Teal Drive in Raeford and at FirstHealth Lee Campus at 2919 Beechtree Drive, Suite 2100 in Sanford.
