OBITUARY: Nancy Stewart Wynn

Nancy Stewart Wynn, 68, of Southern Pines, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 at her home.
She was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Richmond County, daughter of Elizabeth Cribbs Stewart and the late Kenneth Bert Stewart.
Nancy was an affectionate, dedicated and kind individual who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Born in Rockingham, she moved to Southern Pines where she made her home. She was known for her giving spirit, compassionate nature and witty humor that would bring a smile to anyone’s face on a bad day. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer comforting words to whomever needed it.
Nancy’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered. Her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew her. She loved her daughter and grandchildren more than ever, as well as they did her. Nancy’s memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends and those who were honored to have the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will live on for generations to come.
Along with her father, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Bert Stewart II; and her sister, Sharon Kilian.
Left to cherish her memories are her significant other of 12 years, Jon Chappell; daughter, Amy Wynn Tristan (Ramon) of Wedgefield, South Carolina; grandchildren, Alanna Elizabeth Vasquez (Manuel Yair) of Aberdeen, Daisy Danette Ponce of Laurinburg, Rocio Carylon Tristan and Ramon Jaime Tristan, both of Wedgefield, South Carolina; brothers, David Stewart (Pam) of Rockingham and Mitchell Stewart (Tammy) of Hamlet; sister, Elaine Mabe (Gerald) of Hamlet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All services will be held private by the family.
