2-year-old OK after being found unconscious in Southington pool

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Southington police say a 2-year-old is okay after being found unconscious in a pool Sunday.

Police said emergency crews were dispatched to Autumn Drive, where they were told an adult was administering CPR to the roughly 2.5-year-old child.

The child had regained consciousness and was crying when crews arrived, according to officials.

Police said the child had snuck away from a pool party happening at the time, finding their way into the pool.

They were transported to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center as a precaution.

Police said they investigated the incident and notified the Department of Children and Families due to the lack of supervision on the part of the parent(s).
