Major expansion of Panhandle wildlife refuge criticized as government overreach
The Muleshoe National Wildlife refuge spreads over nearly 7,000 acres in the western part of the Texas Panhandle. It’s a bit of an oasis in the sprawling grasslands that surround it. Texoma Drive renovations begin, 1 million-gallon water tower engineering underway
The City Council discussed updates on the current ongoing city projects in town during last week’s meeting. The Texoma Street project construction began last week. Residents may have observed a drone flying over the neighborhood, a tool used by the contractor to obtain footage of the construction area. The water line project will start August 1. Whitesboro City Administrator Julie Arrington said the engineer said the 12-inch water line will possibly be changed into a 16-inch water line.
