Thursday will bring a few showers with a front moving through
Panama City Fla. (WMBB) – Rain chances have been low all this week. The wind has mostly been out of the north and west, this has kept dry air around at the surface and mid-levels. Just a few locations have been able to see a shower through mid-week. Rain chances will be slightly higher on Thursday a front will not bring us cooler temps but it will slide the wind out of the northeast. This should pin the sea breeze to the coast Thursday, allowing coastal areas to have a chance at a sea-breeze pop-up. Rain chances will only be 30 to 40% on Thursday but it is the best shot at rain until Sunday when about a 40% chance will return. Temps will be mostly in the low to mid-90s for highs through the rest of the week. Most areas will remain dry so be happy when that rain lotto happens at your location even if it’s just a few drops.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - School is up and running in Bay County, but for one school, it is the first time students have graced its halls. “The school opened last week so we are doing registration, so it takes a little bit of time, so the kids are getting their orientation, they are learning the different aspects of becoming a college student,” said Bill Hess, adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle University. “It is a little different than being a high school student. There is a lot more stress and a lot more criteria that we put on them. It is a transition from being treated as a high school student to being treated as a college student.”
