SEHS Punter Colby Beyer Wins Competition at Florida State University Summer Camp
Stanhope Elmore High School senior punter Colby Beyer recently won a punt competition during a summer camp at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. The competition featured more than 40 punters from around the country. After winning the competition, Beyer’s father, an alumnus from Florida State, tracked down Seminole’s Head Coach Mike Norvell, for a picture with the younger Beyer.

2 arrested in connection to drug trafficking in Colbert Co.
SHEFFIELD, Ala. (WAFF) - Two people were arrested in connection to trafficking drugs in Colbert County on Friday morning. According to the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was issued at a home on 13th Avenue in Sheffield. At the house, deputies said 40 grams of methamphetamine, a 22 caliber rifle, and $388 were found.
Victory Cheer Academy introducing new Victory Gymnastics program in September
CULLMAN, Ala. – Victory Cheer Academy recently announced the launch of its new gymnastics program, Victory Gymnastics, with evaluations scheduled from Aug. 20-23, from 4-7 p.m. As spaces are limited, prospective participants are encouraged to book their slots early to ensure enrollment. Additionally, early registrants will receive a $30 discount on September tuition. CULLMAN, Ala. – The 11th annual Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run was hosted at St. Bernard Saturday morning and the falling rain didn’t stop a crowd of family, friends and supporters from gathering to support the cause. 138 runners participated in this year’s event and in addition to providing a scholarship to a local student, the funds from this year’s run will also go to support The Link of Cullman County.
