TWISP, Wash. — Level 1 (Be Ready) evacuations have been ordered due to a fire burning near State Route 20. The fire was reported to firefighters around 1 p.m. and is currently active in the vicinity of State Route 20. KENDRICK - Crews continue to battle the Texas Fire, located east of Kendrick on the Latah/Nez Perce County line. According to a Saturday morning update from officials, the fire has reached 1,575 acres and remains 10% contained. The fire area has grown by only 32 acres over the previous 48 hours. As of 9:38 a.m., Saturday morning, all evacuations have been lifted and all roads have been opened.
