Maryland Zoo chimpanzee celebrates fifth birthday
(WBFF) — A chimpanzee at the Maryland Zoo in Druid Hill Park turned five today and celebrated with a party thrown in her enclosure by zookeepers. Lola - alongside other chimps from the Zoo's troop including three-year-old chimp Maisie - celebrated the big day with several sweet treats left by zookeepers, as well as streamers and other decorations dotting her living space. While the apes didn't pay the colorful designs much attention, they dug into the desserts with gusto, as seen in a video posted by the Maryland Zoo.
