ANNAPOLIS -- The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 400 claims the Annapolis Police Department broke the law by suspending two officers who reported mismanagement in the department. They're calling for the chief to be removed. A group of Annapolis police officers and UFCW Local 400 members met with the human resource and city manager in March for Annapolis to discuss waste and mismanagement at the police department. Cyclist dead after driver hit him in Fells Point Friday
A 44-year-old man was killed after a driver hit his bike and sent him into traffic in the Fells Point neighborhood late Friday afternoon, according to Baltimore police. Preliminary investigation details suggest that the driver hit the cyclist in the area of South Caroline Street and Bank Street. When hit, the cyclist was thrown from his seat and fell onto another car that was stopped on the 400 block of South Caroline Street, and the impact from the second car threw him into a third. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital.
