SPARTA, NJ – A local student performance on the “America’s Got Talent” stage will be aired on Tuesday, July 16 at 8 p.m. Mia Soleil Sanchez began the audition process for AGT in November with “numerous video submissions and in-person audition in New York City.”
“After months of effort and a flight out to Los Angeles for the final audition in March, Mia’s moment to shine on national television has arrived,” Elisa Girlando Studio’s manager Paige Lucas said.
“It was an awesome experience. I was nervous at first, but when I got out on stage, it felt good,” Sanchez said.
Elisa Girlando traveled to Los Angeles with Sanchez for the “big audition.”
Mia is such a hard worker, and it has been a privilege to work with her over the years and watch her become the artist she is today. Seeing her in LA in a professional environment was an amazing experience. She held herself with such grace and absolutely killed it in the audition,” Girlando said.
Franklin Middle School student Sanchez has been a member of the Elisa Girlando Studios in Sparta since she was six. Over the past seven years she has performed at the Sussex County Fair and other events around North Jersey. She performed at the Apollo Theater’s Amateur Night with an appearance into the second round.
Sanchez has competed in the Mid-Atlantic Idol singing competition and recently sang at her first Major League Soccer game for the Red Bulls at the Red Bulls Arena.
The community is invited to tune in on Tuesday night to see Sanchez’s performance.
