Marlene Simone Celebrated for Over Three Decades of Service to Little Falls
LITTLE FALLS, NJ - The Township of Little Falls has proclaimed July 31 as "Marlene Simone Day" in Little Falls in honor of Marlene Simone, the Deputy Registrar for the Township. This comes after Simone announced her retirement after over 33 years of service. Simone's career with the township began in January 1991, and over the years, she has taken on numerous roles, including DPW Secretary, Recycling Coordinator, Police Department Clerk and Budget Coordinator, Deputy Registrar, and Board of Health Secretary. MONTCLAIR, NJ - Last week, Montclair Police Officers were dispatched to a residence at 1:41AM in Montclair on a report of a female who was having difficulty breathing. Devyani Shroff, a Montclair resident, had called her sons, Neil and Niku Shroff, to inform them of her medical distress. During the call, the brothers heard their mother stop breathing and immediately dialed 911.
