CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Registration for Cedar Grove Fall Cross Country is now open, according to the Cedar Grove Department of Recreation. Limited spots are available for the Fall Cross Country Clinic, which is open to students in grades 1 through 3. The Clinic will be held on Tuesdays from September 17 to October 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Park. It costs $50 per runner to register, with a $10 late fee after September 4. Garfield police looking for people who were stopped by a suspect
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY — The Garfield Police Department is seeking to identify the drivers of two separate vehicles that were stopped by a Black male midday Saturday. Police said the male was involved in a rollover car crash and was being pursued on foot a GPD officer. Those involved are encouraged to identify themselves by contacting GPD at 231-995-5000 or Kalkaska Central Dispatch at 231-258-3350. The search for the suspect lasted four hours and involved officers from Kalkaska and Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Offices, MSP and DNR Law Enforcement, Northern Michigan Emergency Response Team and Garfield Fire Department.

As discussed in prior meetings, the Colony Pool side walls are crumbling and in need of replacement. The Committee requested the Township Engineer develop plans. A draft plan was circulated to the Committee last week, with updated plans provided today. Those plans will be discussed tonight so that we can move forward with the bid process and toward having the work completed in the fall. No decisions have been made at this time. This is a discussion to find the right answer for our community and our Colony members.
