PARSIPPANY — Evan Schwartz, 15, a Parsippany resident and alumnus of Lake Hiawatha Elementary School and Central Middle School, is entering his sophomore year at the Academy for Business Administration at Morris County School of Technology, located at Randolph High School. Balancing a demanding schedule, Evan attends classes at Randolph High School and County College of Morris to graduate with a high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree in Business.
Waterford Holds Memorial Service for Butler Firefighter
Sunday was the final day of Waterford Heritage Days. People could enjoy a church service, vendors, skydivers, and a variety of foods. However, there was a somber event added a memorial service was held to honor those who have died including Corey D. Comperatore, the firefighter killed during former President Trump's rally in Butler last Saturday.

Paterson Officials Seek $1.3M for 2025 Road Resurfacing Project
PATERSON, NJ – Paterson officials are requesting $1.3 million in state aid from the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund to address deteriorating road conditions across the city. This funding will be allocated to the 2025 Road Resurfacing Project, which targets key streets such as Chamberlain Avenue, Burlington Avenue, and 20th Avenue. City engineers, in conjunction with the Department of Public Works, have identified these streets as critical for resurfacing due to their poor conditions. CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Registration for Cedar Grove Fall Cross Country is now open, according to the Cedar Grove Department of Recreation. Limited spots are available for the Fall Cross Country Clinic, which is open to students in grades 1 through 3. The Clinic will be held on Tuesdays from September 17 to October 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Park. It costs $50 per runner to register, with a $10 late fee after September 4. Garfield police looking for people who were stopped by a suspect
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY — The Garfield Police Department is seeking to identify the drivers of two separate vehicles that were stopped by a Black male midday Saturday. Police said the male was involved in a rollover car crash and was being pursued on foot a GPD officer. Those involved are encouraged to identify themselves by contacting GPD at 231-995-5000 or Kalkaska Central Dispatch at 231-258-3350. The search for the suspect lasted four hours and involved officers from Kalkaska and Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Offices, MSP and DNR Law Enforcement, Northern Michigan Emergency Response Team and Garfield Fire Department.
