Peak Performances’ 2024-25 season will be a bold mix of music, theater, dance and more
Concerts by Laura Benanti and Rachel Rose, an outdoor sing-along film concert featuring Disney’s “Encanto,” a North American premiere by the dance troupe A.I.M. by Kyle Abraham and a screening of the Philippe Petit documentary “Man on Wire” (followed by a question-and-answer session with the high-wire artist himself) will all be part of the 2024-25 season of Peak Performances at Montclair State University.
Council of County Colleges Recognizes Bergen’s Blakeslee

PARAMUS, N.J. – The New Jersey Council of County Colleges has selected Bergen Community College Board of Trustees Chair Dorothy Blakeslee to receive the organization’s top honor for trustees. Chosen from nominees submitted by the state’s 18 community colleges, the NJCCC’s executive committee selected Blakeslee for the Ronald D. Winthers Community College Trustee Leadership Award, which honors an individual who “exemplifies visionary trustee leadership at the local, state and national levels.” The NJCCC recognized Blakeslee during an awards dinner as part of the organization’s New Jersey Community College Opportunity Summit in Atlantic City.

Morristown, NJ – Over 290,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 27 Morristown High School seniors to support their academic pursuits, announced the Morris Educational Foundation (MEF). The MEF, a non-profit organization enhancing excellence in education in the Morris School District for over 31 years, honored the deserving students during the high school’s scholarship award night on June 11. Local Playwright, Alum to Present Free Play at Bandshell in August
HAWTHORNE, NJ - A local playwright and Hawthorne High School alum is presenting her latest production at the town bandshell with two dates in August. "The main reason she organized this group was because the high school theatre club came to a halt during that time and it allowed those students interested to continue performing in an outdoor environment," her mom, Susan Barbieri, said. "It also allowed Estelle to pursue her passion as a writer and director." Estelle is currently a film major at Hofstra University.
