    Vandals 'steal' custom-made flag from South Carolina pub in 'disrespectful' attack on Irish culture

    Two men have allegedly stolen a custom-made Irish flag from a pub in South Carolina in an act that has been described as "disrespectful" towards Irish culture.

    The green, white, and orange banner was pinched from Delaney's Irish Pub in Spartanburg shortly before 11pm on Wednesday, July 17. The individuals in question are also accused of vandalizing the property and breaking a flagpole.

    A pub spokesperson outlining how the incident "not only disrespects the city and establishment, but also the cultural heritage they proudly celebrate."

    Desperate for information, and to have their beloved souvenir returned to them, staff made the decision to share images of the suspects on social media . They urged punters or residents to get in touch if they recognized them.

    One man in the photo has dark hair and features including a beard. He is wearing a green or purple loose vest top that reads "Champion Athletics". He is also sporting black shorts and white croc shoes.

    The man has tattoos on his arms and can be seen reaching up to grab the Irish flag . Another man pictured has a long, short-sleeve black top on and jeans. He is donning a silver chain and has fairer features but also has a beard.

    Spartanburg Police Department are actively involved in investigating the incident, the bar said. A pub spokesperson added: "We are asking our friends and followers in the community to help us identify the culprits.
