Neo-Nazi Group Leader Sounds Off On Social Media About SD March
(Pierre, SD) — The leader of a Neo-Nazi group that held protests at the State Capitol and downtown Deadwood Saturday is going after Governor Noem on social media. C.A. Pohlhaus, who goes by “The Hammer,” runs the white supremacist group called the “Blood Tribe.” He responded to Noem’s statement about dispersing the protest on X Saturday, saying they weren’t escorted away prematurely and celebrated claims of taking a lap around the Governor’s Mansion while calling Noem names with emojis. Pohlhaus also revealed the reason behind the group’s protests, citing House Bill 10-76 which is a new state law that takes effect July 1st providing additional protection for Jewish people. South Dakota leaders, the Jewish Community of South Dakota and other groups have since spoken out condemning Saturday’s Neo-Nazi displays.
DAYS OF ’76 RODEO TO TAKE CENTER STAGE
Annual event returns with long-time volunteer at the helm. Deadwood, S.D. – For the 102nd year, the Days of ’76 Rodeo will kick off in Deadwood, S.D. July 21-27. Fans will be treated to one of the most decorated rodeos in the state and the tri-state region; the Days of ’76 Rodeo has won the PRCA Rodeo of the Year award nineteen times, and in the Badlands Circuit, the rodeos in the Dakotas, it’s been voted best rodeo sixteen times.
Spearfish Picks up Win over Zap in Single Game Series
For the second time this season, the Oahe Zap would fall to Spearfish in a single game series as the Sasquatch would take Tuesday’s game in a 6-1 final score. Spearfish would pick up three runs in the first inning all with two outs as the Sasquatch were off and running from the start. Oahe would allow an unearned run in the third and another unearned run in a two run seventh trailing 6-0. Oahe’s only run would come with a two out error in the top of the eighth off the bat of Aiden Johnson as the Zap had just four hits in the game including a double by Leandro Guevara. Jakob Swallow would pick up the loss on the mound settling in after the three run first going five innings on eighth hits, one walk and six strikeouts. Spearfish used four pitchers to get through the nine innings for the win to even their record at 8-8.
