Local and state highway crews have made substantial progress in repairing and clearing flooded roadways from last week’s storm , according to Tim Marshall, Steuben County Director of Public Safety.

Some road remain closed, and Marshall said many roads in the affected area have significant damage and urged residents to use extreme caution if they must travel.

Motorists should avoid unnecessary travel in this area to allow emergency responders, public works, and cleanup crews to continue their work to repair roads and provide support to local residents.
