When does early voting start in Steuben County? Dates, times, places to vote early in 2024

Voters in Steuben County don't have to wait until Nov. 5 to cast their general elections ballots in 2024.

Nine days of early voting begins Oct. 26 and concludes Nov. 3 at three polling sites around the county.

The ballots used for early voting are the same as Election Day ballots. Voters will complete their ballot and scan them into a regular voting machine.

Ballot marking devices for voters who require assistance marking their ballot are available, along with election inspectors.

The 2024 election has races for local, state and federal offices, including the presidency of the United States. The last day to register to vote is Oct. 26 .

Voters who live in Steuben County can go to any one of the following "Early Voting" locations and vote before General Election Day, Nov. 5

Early voting dates, times at Steuben County Annex, 20 E. Morris St., Bath

• Oct. 26: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Oct. 27: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Oct. 28: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Oct. 29: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
• Oct. 30: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Oct. 31: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
• Nov. 1: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Nov. 2: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Nov. 3: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Early voting dates, times at Hornell Arts Center, 56 Broadway (next to Paddy’s Pub & Grill)

• Oct. 26: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Oct. 27: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Oct. 28: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

• Oct. 30: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Oct. 31: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

• Oct. 26: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Oct. 27: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Oct. 28: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Oct. 29: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Oct. 30: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Oct. 31: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Nov. 1: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Nov. 2: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Nov. 3: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

None of the votes cast during early voting are counted until after the polls close at 9 p.m. on Nov. 5. Results will be posted on the Steuben County Board of Elections website after the polls close.

Results posted will include Election Day, Early Voting, Absent and Early Vote by Mail ballots.

Voting on Election Day takes place at each voter's regularly assigned poll site.
