Pair from North Dansville, Hornell charged with robbery, other counts in Oct. 1 larceny

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office arrested two people in connection to a reported armed robbery in North Dansville last week.

The suspects are jailed on felony robbery charges.

According to the sheriff's office, Tabitha Belz, 32 of Hornell, and Jamie Wolfanger, 40, of North Dansville are accused in an alleged Oct. 1 larceny from an individual on Hartman Road in North Dansville.

During the encounter, Belz and Wolfanger allegedly displayed what appeared to be a handgun and stole money from a victim, the sheriff's office said.

After being developed as suspects, Belz and Wolfanger were located in the City of Rochester by Rochester police.

They were transported back to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters in Geneseo, where they were interviewed and charged.

Wolfanger was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree menacing and petit larceny.

Belz was charged with first-degree robbery and petit larceny.

With three prior felony convictions, Wolfanger was denied bail and is being held in the Livingston County Jail, the sheriff's office said.

Belz is being held on $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 fully secured bond.

Assisting with the investigation were members of the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, Forensic Identification Unit (FIU), the Dansville Police Department, the Rochester Police Department and Livingston County Dog Control.
