The Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), in collaboration with Governor Healey, has implemented the Summer EBT program, an initiative designed to assist families with additional funds for groceries. Musician Thomas Konow, 61, Killed In Fiery Catskill Crash
The Greene County incident happened at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, on State Route 9W in Catskill. New York State Police said Thomas Konow, age 61, of Claverack in Columbia County, was driving a GMC SUV southbound on SR 9W when the vehicle left the roadway, struck the wall of a railroad overpass, and caught fire.
Another Tornado Touched Down In New York State
The month of July has been a record month for tornados in New York State and another one was confirmed to have touched down earlier this week. The National Weather Service in Buffalo confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down near Orwell, New York. This was the 20th tornado to be confirmed in New York State this month.
