Local students excel in 4-H Tractor Driving Contest
The 2024 Spencer County and Central 5 & 6 Area 4-H Tractor Driving Contest was held on May 18 at the Spencer County Extension Office. All participants, from Spencer and Shelby counties, took a knowledge skill test, inspected the tractors, and drove through an obstacle course, while using the safety procedures that they learned in 4-H Tractor Driving School that morning.

Spencer County residents now eligible for free membership to Frazier Museum
On March 15, at the Frazier’s 120: Cool KY Counties exhibit opening, Frazier History Museum president Andy Treinen announced a contest: whichever five Kentucky counties got the most residents per capita to subscribe to the museum’s free newsletter Frazier Weekly would win. The contest ended June 1, Kentucky’s birthday, and the subscribers were tallied.
