Roane County man found, Silver Alert canceled

UPDATE: (4:53 P.M. Wednesday, June 19) – Kanawha County 911 dispatchers say Carroll Harper has been located and the Silver Alert out of Roane County has been canceled.

ROANE COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a Roane County man.

According to Kanawha County 911 dispatchers, Carroll Dean Harper, 83, was reported missing from the Missouri Fork area of Spencer, West Virginia.

Dispatchers say Harper is a white male who has a scar on his chest from a surgery and a wound on his head he sustained from a fall. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue/grey flannel shirt and a tan baseball cap.

Anyone with any information on Harper’s whereabouts should contact local authorities or 911.
