WVU Hoops offers another four star, class of 2025 wing
Coach DeVries and his staff extended a scholarship offer to 2025 wing Jayden Forsythe earlier this week, per a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account. The offer marks approximately the 45th high school prospect that has received a WVU scholarship offer since Darian DeVries arrived in Morgantown. Associate head coach Chester Frazier has been the lead recruiter of Forsythe and gave him the opportunity.

Much needed water system upgrade coming to Masontown this year
MASONTOWN, W.Va. A fire at the old Masontown School did little damage Wednesday afternoon, but the availability of water to fight the blaze was a concern. In a post on social media, members of the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department said the water system was down for maintenance at the time of the fire, so tanker support was requested. Volunteers from Masontown were able to quickly knock the fire down before tankers arrived.

Two Mountain State volunteer fire departments benefit from the Lowes Hometowns program this year
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Lowe’s Home Improvement will perform nearly $200,000 at two volunteer fire department facilities in the state. Lowe’s District Manager Brittany Roberts said they’ll do the work through the Lowe’s Hometowns program. Materials are provided and associates participate in completing the projects, but members of the community are encouraged to help as well.
