WATCH: Spokane Valley Fire stops multi-vehicle fire from burning up wooded hillside

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. - Spokane Valley Fire released video of a multi-vehicle fire that happened Thursday afternoon.

According to the fire department, crews first saw a fully involved SUV fire spreading to a motorhome it was being pulled behind and a wooded area next to the road.

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire and keep it from running up the hillside.

Both vehicles were lost but no injuries were reported.

The National Fire Protection Association said vehicle fires are 4 and a half times more deadly than residential fires.

In order to better protect yourself in case of a vehicle fire, make sure to safely pull the vehicle to the side of the road, turn off the engine, get everyone out of the vehicle and at least 100 feet away, and call 911.
